Heading to the gym or staying active with friends is a sure fire way to make sure happiness levels soar. Research shows that exercise boosts brain chemicals that fight stress.

2. Make Sure You are Sleeping Enough

Waking up too early or poor sleep makes you more susceptible to unwanted emotions that include anger and a temper. Sleep deprivation has also been linked to disorders that include anxiety disorder and depression. On the flip side, people who are sleeping enough are proven to have higher self-esteem and a greater ability to problem solve.

3. Cut the Commute

If you are spending a good amount of time driving back and forth to work try to find a way to move to avoid it. You may come up with a million excuses but it’s worth looking into when happiness is on the line.
