Here are three masks that can be made at home quickly to help reverse the damage. So skip the expensive routes and look no further than to ingredients you may already have in your kitchen to gives those locks a lift.
1. Avocado & Honey for all Hair Types
Mix the flesh from a ripened avocado with a tablespoon of honey. Apply to hair and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off in the shower.
Why it works: Oils in avocados closely resemble our own skin’s oils and are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin E and protein.
2. Plain Yogurt for Dull Hair
Apply 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt to wet hair. Rinse with warm water after 20 minutes.
Why it works: Lactic acid strips away dirt while the milk fat moisturizes.
3. Olive Oil and Egg for Dry Hair
Mix three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil with two eggs. Massage the mixture into your hair and let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing.
Why it works: Olive oil has many hydrating factors. The proteins in the eggs promote healthy hair growth and removes unwanted oils.
